wow…what a cool trip i had…3 days to jogja…mmm…!!! so much fun i had.
first day we came, we started with trip to Prambanan Temple…the ticket price was Rp.8.000 for locals and USD 10 for foreigners. it open from 8 am - 6 pm everyday. they also got a dance show at night (start at 7 pm) with vary prices start from Rp. 40.000 - Rp. 100.000 per person (depend which class you choose). they also got a carriage-car that will take us around the temple (there’s other small temples around the Prambanan which become the main-large temple in the middle) by paying Rp. 5.000/person (include one softdrink)…not bad for a small-added trip.
we came there at 4 pm, quite shade, and i think that the best hour to see the temple (won’t burn your skin). but poorly we couldn’t entered inside those temples coz it has been reconstructed after the earthquake couple months ago. so, we only permitted to enjoy the temple from short distance with the information what’s consist inside those temples. cool scenes after all…
and after we left Prambanan Temple, we came for some shopping at the famous Malioboro street in the heart of Jogja…spent some cash for somethin’ wouldn’t found in city…and i got some stuff (include wood bracelet that i’d lookin for). what a really crowded street that night. and we took a small walk to enjoy a glass of coffee at "angkringan" (a places that took spot only at night at the side of the street which only sells some traditional meal. the most famous thing is its coffee, which is a real strong black coffee added with a red-burned charcoal (some said it create unusual taste that become a mark for the coffee)…but still, i don’t interested at all to a "weird" coffee (as i thought it was).
at the second day we planned to take a trip to the famous Borobudur Temple (which may be the most reason why i came to Jogja), one of the 7 world’s amazing places. A REAL BLODDY HOT PLACE even it was in the mornin’!! put a lot of sun block, i mean it!!! (or perhaps some tan if you like). it cost Rp. 9.000/person for locals (i forgot the cost for foreigners.
a real astonished scene that may you wouldn’t ever found in other places. many people believe if we able to touch the palm of Budha inside one of the 9 small-Budha cage, that our will may become true…(also the reason why i came here…hahaha), and i made it (i touched the middle finger of one Budha)…its got a lot of stone-carved picture that believed describe the human journey in earth from the 2nd story of the temple up to the top level of the temple (but still, i couldn’t get understand ’bout the mean and got interrupted by the hot of the sun burned all over my skin!!).
a truly amazing spot when you came to the top of the temple. u would seen whole jogja (i guess) and around from the best spot. (i feel comfy upside, and the wind came friendly).
and we went to Temanggung after that to attend one of my besf friend wedding. Happy Wedding to you pal…we decided to came to Ketep area (believed as the best spot to saw the mount Merapi…BUT NOT AT DARK TIME esp. night!). try to come here in the morning, coz it would be the best time to seen the mount Merapi activity. don’t forget to buy "getuk" (traditional cookies made from cassava) in one of food-gift shop along the Magelang’s streets.
and we spent the last day by took a breakfast at "Sabar Menanti" restaurant (i get the info fr. www.trulyjogja.com),
and it was a realy great meal we had in Jogja. they got a realy tasty foods (even the price quite take up your money, but it’s worth enough). Don’t forget to try "pecel Empal" and ate it with "beras merah" (red rice), and also try their "es dawet" (which only cost Rp. 2000). a perfect breakfast we had.

and we went to Kaliurang to saw some magnificent spot from upstair. there’s a small waterfall there. and don’t forget to try jaddah tempe (made from rice flour and coconut and eat with tempe = soybean stick or toffu) @ one of the small shop named Mbah Carik (and it’s cheap). we continued our trip to Kaliadem, where the hot mist from mount Merapi take a path at the earthquake. and we could see the path left some destruction to the place.and also we could enjoy the mount Merapi from short distance. my fella took this pic of mine..(and i like it!! hahaha…what a narcist!!)
and we were back home at middle of the night and got in jakarta next noon…thx God we hadn’t trapped in traffict…what a perfect holiday!!!
