lucky got the ticket 2 days after its first premiered in Jakarta. In a so so saturday afternoon while lookin’ for sumtin’ in Plaza Senayan, sambil iseng2 cek di studio XXI apakah Laskar Pelangi se-crowded sebagian besar bioskop di Jakarta lainnya hari itu…ternyata…voila!! masih sepi!!! And lucky that day got special promo from Bank Mandiri, pay 1 for 2. Saving lah buat traktir ade gw…huehe…
My fave character on the screen was Bu’ Mus by Cut Mini Theo…DAMNLY AMAZING her role in the movie. she’s the best player for the movie (and i prefer her to get best actress in a leading role for Citra Award this year!!). She’s really a heart-touching character..and she perform it really well. She really shown how a teacher should be. untuk mendidik dan membimbing. A trully patiently person, and put an enormous believe to her student. she never put any doubt, even to one of her retarded-student. she is a good-heart one. and i believe we need lot of people, lot of teacher such her…and that way we’ll gonna have best people to perform this county better in the future. who always believe, put whole of their trust, teaching and guiding patiently, and never gave up.
the story most told about “Haikal” (ikal) and how his life. gak salah memang, tapi terkesan ini film sebagian besar tentang dia sebagai subjek nya. Sedangkan kalau kita membaca novelnya, masih lebih seimbang antara porsi pribadi Ikal dengan kisah si Laskar pelangi itu sendiri. Sebenarnya bebas-bebas aja sih, cuma essence laskar pelangi nya jadi berkurang. Many hops happenned in the story (the novel-reader must seen this all), maybe it’s because they should summarying more than 500 pages into a 2 hours duration movie. but some of it kinnda irritating me. and in some scenes, the visualization of the story not really as good as our imagination could be (maybe that’s the difference of every human brain in interpretating a visualization of a story scene…). I like Mahar too, he played well..and funny of course! But i kinnda disappointed of Flo character…she’s too “flat”. not as eager and furious as its described in the book, and pretty look-like a “nice girl” one. and of course, Tora Sudiro really poor!! he’s even not look-a-like a Belitongs! he speaks Melayu poorly. goshh!! Lintang, mmm…he’s trully describing what an “unfortunetely-brainer” look-like! i like his character too! Pak Harfan, i like him. and really sad when he died (i even forgot if he was died on the book…hehe). I also prefer the cinematography of “Negeri Diatas Awan” (2006) which captured the beauty of Irian Jaya island perfectly! Belitung has lot of beautiful beach (as you can see in this movie), but it wasn’t capturet beautifuly-compossed. But yea, after all…i like this movie i guess. better than other’s which more look like a electronic-cinema (sinetron) goes up to theater! in some scene (even embarressed to confess), i cried…hahaha…terharu jo’… (pas adegan pak Harfan meninggal terutama…huhuhu). A recommended-movie one!!
